Nick Satkovich of Peer Pressure Creative on how his team uses Basecamp:
Peer Pressure Creative was born on September 1, 2008, as a small team of 2 developers and one graphic designer. Our small team has delivered some large web solutions for clients all over the U.S, and have won awards while doing so.
Welcome to the world of Peer Pressure Creative where all of our clients are on Basecamp because it’s the only way for us and the client to stay organized. While only being a three man shop, Basecamp helps keep even our larger clients organized like Sun National Bank and the USGA.
Basecamp makes our lives easier
Our day in, day out doesn’t revolve around sending hundreds of emails back and forth to clients gathering word docs, images, logos, sharing comps, etc. Nope, our day is streamlined by Basecamp which allows us to gather all necessary documents from clients, set milestones (and even integrate them into our iCal’s), and create to-do’s. Sounds pretty great huh? It is.
The features we use the most
The feature that we use the most (besides the core messaging / file upload) is milestones. Milestones are a great way for us to keep on top of deadlines and plus it goes with us on our mobile phones (via iCal and Insight) when we leave the office.
A specific story
Basecamp helped Peer Pressure Creative deliver a strong open line of communication during the build of the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open website. The project consisted of 8 Women’s Open representatives who were involved in the build and our team. Needless to say, basecamp made our lives (and our inboxes) much happier by having everything all in one place. Keeping track with milestones, to-do’s, and time tracking made all the difference in this project.
